September Newsletter '22🎉
My first Newsletter! ( road trip 🚗, cultural event 🎉, TKS and other interesting stuff)
Who are you?
I’m a student from Chennai, India who is actively into aerospace technology like drone-making to cube satellites, rovers, rockets, 3D printing, and much more. I was previously an intern at IIT Madras for the same at an IIT incubated company called Vaayusaastra. I also dabbled around in my spare time as a youth consultant for teaching young kids about aeronautics.
I’m a movie buff and love staying up-to-date in the cinema field. Also an upcoming actor, editor, and filmmaker.
Adventure is second nature to me. I have traveled to multiple cities across India including the Himalayas, Kerala, and the North East. I love trekking and mountain biking. I was also an intern/coach at a camping service, Youreka, to help out the team and obviously, enjoy the experience at the same time.
Maithri’22 - A Cultural Event
So let me tell you something about the lives of school students in Chennai. It goes something like this - we wake up, get ready for school, go do the actual “studies”, get back home and immediately head for our tuition classes, come back home and eat some dinner and doze off.
So we as students try and utilize every opportunity we get to get some fun into our lives and Maithri’22 is a place you’ll never want to leave. It’s an escape from our school lives and we get to attend a cultural event hosted by the school “Chettinad Vidyashram”.
I was attending two events - The Rampwalk (Fashion Show) and Adzap
Had loads of fun. Got to meet a lot of my friends and caught up with them.

The first month of TKS(attending my first session, brain dates)
Context: I got a Full Ride to a society called the Knowledge Society towards the very end of August. Getting through the application process and “actually” getting in, that’s a conversation for another day lol (Pranav gets it) but also it taught me a lot of skills and things such as cold-emailing and some daily-life hacks which never struck me before this process. The point is, in the end, it was all worth it.
My first session at TKS!
Shoutout to Pranav Menon and Ian Lockhart for making these first few weeks AWESOME! It’s been great to have u guys around and honestly, it’s been one heck of a journey till now and I’ve been loving it!

Trip to Ooty, Tamilnadu
My dad had booked a private guest house a few months back in Ooty ( a place in Tamilnadu) and OMG it was exactly what it sounded like. Let me share some pics right after this.
So my parents and I drove down to this beautiful bungalow in the hills and it was one of a kind. I’m pretty sure it was built back in the 1800s and the way it stood so majestically to date is just so fascinating. This guest house had also won multiple awards over the years for having the best lawns and gardens and also, for being the best in the whole of India. DAMN. We were getting some first-class treatment right there. And it had been a while since I stayed in such cold areas (it was a constant 12°C, and at nighttime close to 8°C 🥶)
Overall, a great experience, and loved the place. Honestly, all I did was lay down on the couch and gain some much-needed sleep but a few things I did do were:
wake up to see the sunrise (it was so worth it☀️)
go for a walk in the evenings (still 10°C💀)
go on an eating spree. I had so much fun doing this and the chefs were awesome too, had some of the best meals I’ve ever had at this place.
Key Learnings:
Set short-term goals for every day and follow them. ( START DOING. MOTIVATION FOLLOWS ✏️)
Done > Perfect. ⚖️
Breaks are important to rejuvenate.
